I would like to announce to the world that my son is a reader.

He reads voraciously – when he’s not listening to audiobooks that is.

His new question for me is either, “Can I have a new book?” or “Can I have a new audiobook?”

I can’t keep enough stories in our house to satisfy him.

But it hasn’t always been that way. He was a struggling reader and it caused me many sleepless nights worrying if I would be able to teach him to read fluently and if I was the right person for the job.

It seems he was just a bit of a late bloomer in the reading category, but lately his reading ability has soared.

If you also have a struggling or reluctant reader, you simply must check out my favorite reading program to see if it might help your child. You can also read a bit more about our reading struggles.

And if you’d like to be inspired with a wonderful booklist, here are some of my son’s current favorite series.
