Being on the Crew, I’ve had so much fun with books and curricula. Love getting those boxes and online access codes. So many new things to try! Then I saw an option for skin care items. Something for me! Just for me! Sign me up please!
I had the chance to try out a new review product and pamper myself! How wonderful! I was blessed to receive some skin care products from Beeyoutiful.
What is it?
Beeyoutiful is a company focusing on natural skin care products and remedies. The company believes that individuals are responsible for their own health and healthcare and should be educated to use all available tools and resources to achieve the goal of good health.
What did it include?
I had the chance to review a skin care set which contained:
Laveshmint Moisturizer – $12 – 4 fl. oz
The moisturizer contains Aloe Vera and coconut oil for soothing and hydrating and is scented with lavender and peppermint oils. It is designed for any skin type and moisturizes without leaving a greasy residue.
Laveshmint Toner – $14 – 4 fl. oz
The toner closes pores after cleansing, using Aloe Vera to soothe the skin. It is scented with lavender and peppermint oils.
Hair Shine – $15 – 4 fl. oz
The hair shine is meant to be sprayed onto hair while it is dry and then brushed through (for straight hair) or scrunched (for wavy or curly hair). It can also be sprayed onto sunburnt skin to aid healing. The hair shine contains Aloe Vera concentrate with a blend of orange, lavender, and rosemary oils.
Vanilla Dream Body Butter – $15 – 4 fl. oz
Vanilla Dream Body Butter is scented with vanilla bean and contains a blend of essential oils to hydrate and nourish skin. The butter contains shea butter with coconut, olive, and grapeseed oil.
What didn’t I like?
I think one complaint is that the bottle for the conditioner did not have a spray bottle top. I had to find a tiny spray bottle and use the top from it to put on my conditioner bottle.
The moisturizer contains peppermint oil which can be refreshing-unless you’ve just used an exfoliating product and then it can feel very tingly and even sting. So, if you’ve just exfoliated, you might want to wait a bit before applying the moisturizer or you’ll get a wake up call!
The blend of oils in the hair shine was a bit strong. The rosemary scent seemed to overpower the lavender and when mixed with the orange oil, it reminded me of some of my natural cleaning products. It was not a scent I associated with hair products, so it took a little getting used to at first.
Other than that, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the products. I just had product envy after seeing what other Crew members had the chance to review. I think I’ll have to try some other products soon….
What did I like?
Let’s start with the toner. I haven’t used toner in years……..my skin care routine has completely fallen by the wayside. But I loved this toner. The lavender smells wonderful and my skin feels so clean after using it. It also took off some makeup residue that my soap had missed (maybe it’s time to try a different soap!).
Now on to the moisturizer. The peppermint was very refreshing (except right after I exfoliated). We recently moved to a new area with a drier climate than our previous location. I have been fighting dry skin all summer and have been losing that battle. Not anymore. This is by far the best moisturizer I have tried. My skin no longer feels dry. And the best part? It doesn’t make my skin oily or greasy. The moisturizer works well under makeup without making my skin shiny. And even though I’ve been using the product for weeks, my jar still looks very full. A little bit of moisturizer goes a long way!
What about the hair shine? Well, the change in climate here has also done things to my curly hair. It can be frizzy and uncooperative because it is so dry. Now, I spritz on the hair shine and my frizz is under control. I also tried out the hair shine on Curly, my 6-year-old, on the days when I could not brush out her tangles. After spraying the product on her hair, I was able to brush through her hair without all the complaining and the tangles.
And finally, the body butter. I have an itchy, dry, pregnant tummy and this body butter was the perfect solution. It is thick and creamy, and after rubbing it on, I itched no more. It was a wonderful feeling and the subtle vanilla scent was perfect.
What did I think overall?
I was very impressed with the Beeyoutiful products and plan to continue using them until I run out. Then I think I’ll just have to order more! The products are natural (I can read and pronounce the product ingredients-yay!) and each product has worked very well. I’m definitely a fan!
