Rolling Pin Paint

At our house we paint with our fingers, with sponges, with Q-tips, with cookie cutters, with golf balls, with marbles, with feathers, but never with a rolling.

We decided to be inspired by Jackson Pollock but rather than fling paint at a canvas we decided to drip and roll.

I taped several sheets of paper together to make a large canvas.  (Butcher paper would have been nice but I was too lazy to run out and buy some….)

We dripped paint all over our paper.

Then the kids took turns rolling the paint all over the paper.

Because our floor in the homeschool room is textured foam tiles, the painting had a wonderful pattern.

Fun, messy project!

Have fun with the other homeschool Crew bloggers!

  1. You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Doing the 5 days blog forced me to try out some fun ideas that I had been saving. The kids had such a great time!
